We’re delighted to introduce you to Harriet Clark who recently joined the Yardi team in our London office, let’s get to know her better.
What’s your job title and what do you like most about your role at Yardi?
I was recently hired as an Account Executive at Yardi, so far I really like how collaborative the Yardi team is. Everyone helps one another and the team truly work together, including all of the subject matter experts to get the best outcome for our clients.
What’s your favourite Yardi product and why?
So far, I’ve been very impressed by the MyCafe by RentCafe application. I can see the app being totally transformational, not only for the resident experience, but also for the elevation of a large corporate brand! I can see why ratings for the RentCafe app are so high on the App Store.
What do you love to do in your spare time?
I became the proud owner of a miniature sausage dog named Percy last year, he takes up a huge amount of my time but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What is your favourite mobile app and why?
I am Citymapper’s biggest fan. I love the vast options for different transport methods and the tips on where to board the train for your specific exit are great, but mostly I love how you can use it in many different cities and have that familiar interface to help you get around.
What do you love most about the real estate industry?
I love the community around the real estate industry, it doesn’t matter what your niche is, everyone is willing to share knowledge and there are always great networking opportunities to keep yourself informed!
Top tip for keeping clients happy?
It’s so cliché, but we were given one mouth and two ears for a reason! Listen to what people have to say and seek to understand them. Top tip for keeping anyone happy in life!
If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
I’ve always wanted to visit Trinidad, I’ve been told that Trini cuisine is some of the best around…I think the sandy beaches and beautiful sunshine would be pretty nice too…
What’s your favourite thing to eat?
I love any type of Asian food. Curries, sushi, dim sum, noodles etc. I was bought the Dishoom cookbook by some friends and I can now make myself a tasty butter chicken as a result!
What’s your favourite movie of all time?
The Intouchables with Omar Sy, who is one of my favourite actors, but I particularly love this film because of the lessons to be learned about empathy and friendship. Any movie that can blend life lessons and belly laughs is a winner in my eyes.
Let us know a unique fact about yourself!
In the mid-2000s, I was chosen from my Primary School in Sussex to be the village Carnival Princess. I was totally elated until I realised I couldn’t keep the crown once the carnival was over!
