Last week, we gathered for a special Yardi RISE for International Women’s Day. Yardi RISE is an internal initiative that celebrates the women at Yardi and Recognises, Inspires, Showcases and Empowers.
The attendees took part in a quiz that highlighted inspirational women such as Rosa Parks, Reshma Saujani, and Jane Austen.

International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8 to recognise and honour women’s achievements in various fields, promote gender equality, and advocate for women’s rights worldwide. The idea of a special day for women emerged in the early 1900s from labour movements in North America and Europe.
IWD is a day to reflect on progress, highlight ongoing struggles, and push for a more inclusive world.
Upcoming Events
The next Yardi RISE event will focus on Burnout. Studies show that women often experience burnout at higher rates than men due to a combination of workplace pressures, emotional labour, and societal expectations.
Within the workplace, especially in leadership roles, women often face higher expectations but receive less recognition. Many working women also take on the majority of household and caregiving responsibilities, leading to exhaustion. In addition, the expectation to “do it all” contributes to chronic stress.
